Autoptic 2020 is now live!
Hello Everyone! We are excited to announce that the content for our Autoptic 2020 virtual event is now live! We’re really excited to share this stuff with you, and while none of it will replace the experience of an in-person Autoptic event, we think that there will be plenty of content here for you to enjoy and explore.
Podcasts and Interviews
The first half of our virtual event is a series of interviews and podcasts we created in partnership with The Gutter Boys podcast. We’ve got great conversation and interviews with a number of special guests.
We’ll be releasing those interviews throughout the day today, and you can find them in either The Gutter Boys podcast feed, or in the Autoptic 2020 podcast feed. You can use these links to find individual episodes, but if you like what you hear, you should also consider subscribing to either feed!
- Madeline McGrane – Gutter Boys | Autoptic
- M. S. Harkness – Gutter Boys | Autoptic
- Craig Thompson & Phil Thompson – Gutter Boys | Autoptic
- Julia Gfrörer – Gutter Boys | Autoptic
- Rumi Hara – Gutter Boys | Autoptic
- Josh Pettinger – Gutter Boys | Autoptic
- Jose Pimienta & Whitney Leopard – Gutter Boys | Autoptic
We’ll be updating this post throughout the day as those episodes are released, so check back often, or save your self a step and subscribe to The Gutter Boys and Autoptic in your podcast client of choice.
The Autoptic 2020 Catalog
We are also excited to tell you that the Autoptic 2020 Catalog is here! Every exhibitor that had applied for a table at Autoptic 2020 was invited to contribute, as well as the special guests you’ll find interviewed in the podcasts we mentioned above.
With over 170 pages and an incredible list of contributors, while it doesn’t replace what would have been an incredible in-person event this year, we really think the catalog captures the spirit of the show and is a testament to the caliber of exhibitors we hope to have with us in the future!
With a fantastic cover by Madeline McGrane, book design by Will Dinski, and over 60 contributors, we really think you will enjoy reading some great comics from names you recognize had hopefully discover new work from creators you have yet to discover. We’ll include a full list of contributors below.
You can order a copy of the catalog here:
We would like to let you all know that we will be printing the catalog to order. Any money made via orders of the catalog will only be used to print and ship the copies ordered. Autoptic will not be keeping any profits from this year’s catalog sales. Our hope is that any contributors, exhibitors, or would-have-been attendees who would like a copy can get one as affordably as possible.
Looking forward to next year…
Again, we recognize that these podcasts and the catalog are modest substitutes to what would have been a wonderful weekend of meeting and interacting with awesome makers, creators, and audience members. But, we are very proud of what we’ve been able to create and present to you, and we hope that you enjoy reading and listening.
That having been said, we are working towards getting back into the in-person event game next year, and we’ll have a substantive update about Autoptic 2021 soon!
